    Our findings demonstrated that the amount of fluid resuscitation required by patients with PiCCO-guided ISBG was significantly greater compared to conventionally managed patients within the first 6 hours after treatment. Myocardial depression and cardiac dysfunction often occur in patients with severe sepsis and septic shock [24-27]. Patients with cardiac dysfunction experience pulmonary edema and tissue interstitial edema, as excessive volume loading cannot increase cardiac output.
